More Tame Impala More Tame Impala

Perth psych-rock revivalists Tame Impala have announced this morning that their new album Lonerism will be released in October this year, with the first track Apocalypse Dreams available to download and stream now.

Having released a teaser video not long ago, the band's label Modular announced this morning that the first official track will be Elephant, to be premiered later this month.

Like their debut InnerSpeaker, the record was recorded and produced by the band's driving force Kevin Parker, who essentially is Tame Impala. Created around the world in various environments, the record was produced by Dave Fridmann (Flaming Lips/MGMT).

The label say that the band's sound was been "completely redrafted and stretched" in the announcement.
