Watch Tame Impala Cover The Strokes' 'Last Nite'

“Probably never again. It’s just for you guys.”

More Tame Impala Tame Impala

Tame Impala have performed a special, one off cover of The Strokes' Last Nite at Primavera Sound over the weekend.

The Strokes were set to perform at the festival, but had to pull out due to COVID concerns in the band's camp.

The cover was performed as a part of their encore, with front man Kevin Parker stating that it would be the first and last time they performed it introducing the song by stating, “Probably never again. It’s just for you guys.”

The Strokes weren't the only act that had to pull out of the festival due to illness, with Massive Attack also cancelling their upcoming tour dates due to illness.

They've also had a tough run of luck with COVID, with The Strokes cancelling their set at Boston Calling.

It's not the first time that the words Tame Impala and cover have made headlines, with the band recently joining the Wiggles on stage in Australia to perform Elephant and Hot Potato.

The Wiggles cover of Elephant landed at Number 1 in triple j's Hottest 100 last year and featured on their ARIA chart topping album, ReWiggled.
