After rumours earlier this week, it’s been confirmed that Tame Impala will drop a new album in 2020.

A video shared to the Tame Impala website, featuring Kevin Parker in the studio and unreleased music, ends with what can be assumed to be the album’s title, The Slow Rush, followed by “2020”.

Tame Impala dropped single Patience back in March, before debuting Borderline on Saturday Night Live and performing at Coachella, Glastonbury, Lollapalooza and Splendour In The Grass.

Parker picked up two ARIA Awards nominations earlier this month for his work on his Patience, including Engineer Of The Year and Producer Of The Year.

Tame Impala's last album, Currents, dropped in 2015.
