Sydney Scores Late-Night, Live Music Dedicated Basement Lounge

The new social hub in Sydney will have a distinct musical focus.

Sydney will be gaining a new playground as the city welcomes Tiva which launches on Thursday the 20th of November.

Tiva will champion a melting pot of musical genres from jazz, soul, world music, R&B and electronic, opening its doors to beloved musical mainstays including Milan Ring, Nathan Haines, Kira Puru and Nathan Haines over the next few months.

The venue is being described as a musical oasis and will feature a killer soundtrack curated by global names from much loved locals to resident selectors. On Saturday the 19th of November Kira Puru will be making her debut on the stage, followed by powerhouse Milan Ring on the 3rd of December as well as Liyah Knight unleashing her prowess.


On the jazz front the venue will host Nathan Haines, Phil Stack and Yasmina Sadiki and more on high rotation until the end of the year. Tiva will also host resident DJs including Richard Penny, MADAMI, Kali, Boogie Monster and many more.

The sound design and curation was completed by international music consultant Dan Lywood of Playlister FM, describing the venue as, “Expect the cream of the country’s players and international guests presenting live music four nights a week, alongside a diverse and exciting roster of established and up and coming DJ talent. Guests can drop in any night of the week and are guaranteed to see and hear a seriously accomplished act.”

The venue will open on Thursday the 20th of October at the basement level of 68 King Street in Sydney.
