Sydney Venue Jacksons On George Relaunches

Renowned Sydney-city venue Jacksons On George has been relaunched by owners Gallagher Hotels in true style, shepherding in the CBD’s first Magners Rooftop Cider Bar and PJ’s Irish Whiskey Bar alongside a freshly refurbished dance space, to be known from here on as Temple Bar.

Located at 176 George Street, the long-standing venue has been utterly transformed, with the Magners bar providing the city’s first cider-driven watering hole overlooking the urban surrounds of George Street and Circular Quay.

“We're excited to be providing Sydneysiders with their first rooftop cider bar where the buzzing Sydney atmosphere of George Street and the charm of Gallagher Hotels' Irish venues meet,” Gallagher Hotels’ Patrick Gallagher said in a statement of the refurbishment and relaunch. “Recently, we've seen the popularity of cider skyrocket, so the cider bar provides the perfect opportunity to enjoy a bottle of crisp cider amongst one of Sydney's most bustling, vibrant streets.”

Down on ground level, PJ’s Irish Whiskey Bar will set eyes widening and livers groaning with a selection of more than 100 whiskeys from around the world available to be imbibed set among the Irish authenticity for which Gallagher Hotels is so well renowned.

Award-winning executive chef Ronny Ghantous serves as the creative mastermind behind the PJ Gallagher’s food menu, drawing on traditional Irish cuisine informed by local, fresh produce.
