Little Bastard's set cut short after a fire extinguisher was set off
A show at the Factory Theatre Floor has been shut down midway through Little Bastard's set after a fire extinguisher was set off at the Marrickville, Sydney, venue.
The headlining country-punk band's set was cut short on Saturday night when security and venue staff advised punters to vacate the room, which is a smaller capacity addition to The Factory's primary space. Fans in the crowd had initially suspected a fire as smoke rushed through the entry/exit door, but the “dusty” smell indicated a fire extinguisher.
Little Bastard attempted to play on through the incident until the PA was turned off. It was a premature end to an otherwise successful and well-attended show.
An unconfirmed eyewitness report suggests that a punter had been smoking inside the venue and may have set off the fire precautions.

Suggestions that the band would continue their set in the outdoor area were quashed when an official announcement asked everyone to vacate the entire precinct. The announcer, apparently adhering to safety measures, also offered advice to anyone requiring medical treatment after the extinguisher chemicals had been released into the venue.
