ICYMI: Sydney Has Scored A Brand New Live Music Night Starting This Week

More good news!

More Luboku Luboku

Live music is alive and well in Sydney, following news that Bondi's Beach Road Hotel will host a weekly event to showcase local and big-name acts.

The venue's Friday Night Live, kicking off tomorrow night, will boast a diverse, evolving roster of acts featuring live bands, singers, percussionists and electronic acts.

Already confirmed to perform in the coming weeks includes Luboku, Future Jr, St Joan and a surprise act for 31 August.

The new event has been brought together by Beach Road Hotel and youth agency, Only Everything.

"For the past five years there has been a steady decline of live music in and around the local area," Only Everything Entertainment & Events Manager, Kam Salamba, said.

"With limited internal resources, venues aren’t in the position to take risks around booking and marketing a live music night. Our mission is to deliver a quality weekly live music event, in a fun, relaxed environment.

"We wanted to bring back what was once so iconic about Bondi. An eclectic mix of punters, live music, and cheap drinks. This is exactly what Friday Night Live is all about."
