Manly's Lachie Chapman has doo-wopped his way to success overseas
A Sydney-born musician has enjoyed considerable success in the UK charts this week.
Lachie Chapman, raised in Manly, is a member of doo-wop/harmony quintet The Overtones and the group's newest album Sweet Soul Music landed at eight in the official UK albums chart earlier this week.
While some of us might only just be getting familiar with Chapman and his band, this is actually their fourth top ten record in the UK and they're kind of a big deal over there. They released their first album, Good Ol' Fashioned Love in 2010 and cracked the top five. The other four members of the band are from the UK.
