Sydney-based outfit The Lulu Raes experienced an unexpected interruption to what otherwise should have been a celebratory experience while supporting Sticky Fingers at the Enmore Theatre this weekend after frontman Eddie Burton was apparently searched for drugs by police backstage.

Although the Green Room-based interrogation yielded nothing for the police to take back to the station, the band nonetheless made sure to capture the moment for posterity, posting a photo to Facebook of Burton while he was being spoken to by a pair of officers before their performance.

"Eddie being searched for drugs in the greenroom of the Enmore Theatre," the band captioned the picture. "Big gig supporting Stickies, lucky he's a good boy."

"Obviously we had nothing to hide, but you still don't expect to find police in your dressing room," the band told theMusic.com.au today.

Hopefully, things will see a little less involuntary frisking when the band next take the stage in Sydney — they'll be taking part at the fifth annual Bad Friday shindig at the Vic On The Park Hotel on Good Friday, 3 April. They'll be performing alongside a wealth of alluring acts, including Gang Of Youths, Flowertruck, Chief Havoc, Joseph Liddy & The Skeleton Horse and Rooms, plus DJ sets all afternoon.

Before that, though, if you're one of the lucky folks to have nabbed a pass to the now-sold-out The Hills Are Alive! 2015 event, you'll be able to catch The Lulu Raes amid the wide open spaces of The Farm this weekend, from 27-29 March, alongside an esteemed line-up featuring the likes of Remi, Safia, Jimeoin, Pierce Brothers, Asta, Luca Brasi, Little Bastard and more.
