“Effective immediately."

More Taylor Swift More Taylor Swift

There’s bad blood between two of the county’s best netball teams, and Taylor Swift has been caught in the crossfire.

This weekend, The Sunshine Coast Lightning will face off against the NSW Swifts for their third consecutive Suncorp Super Netball premiership title, and, as Radio Today reports, in a cheeky show of support, the team’s official radio partner, Hot 91, is removing all Taylor Swift songs from rotation ahead of the match.

“The Lightning are competing against the NSW Swifts, and no Swift will get airplay on our station until our team comes home with the title,” Hot 91 CD Ronnie Stanton said.

“Effective immediately and until after the game on Sunday afternoon, we will be removing all Taylor Swift music from our station.”

Taylor Swift’s latest album, Lover, was released at the end of last month.
