Sounds pleasurable
Good news for Victorians this morning — a brand new music and arts festival will be hitting St Kilda this year called The Pleasure Garden.
Taking over Catani Gardens this December, The Pleasure Garden aims to be Australia's version of boutique UK music festival programs like Bestival and Secret Garden Party with themed stages, roving theatrical performances and a diverse choice of music. In fact, the folks putting the festival on, Parachute International, have worked on the likes of Secret Garden Party, Boomtown Fair and Glastonbury, so you know it's in good hands.
The new event has even outlined the first acts for this year — it'll be led by lively ska rockers The Cat Empire, Melbourne electro funk act The Opiuo Band, South London's The Correspondents, multi-instrumentalist Tash Sultana, Spoonbill, Dub FX, Jakubi, Mista Savona, Boogs, Steve Ward and Kodiak Kid, with many more to round out the bill soon.
The Pleasure Garden festival will be held on 10 December.
