Support Act To Launch New Mental Health Workshop Series

Announced today.

Support Act have today announced a new series of online workshops around mental health.

Dubbed On My Mind, the series will launch on 9 July with the first session, Don't Believe Everything You Think, which will be led by provisional psychologist, researcher and former full-time musician Ash King.

"Before COVID-19 we knew that musicians were five times more likely to suffer from depression and ten times more likely to show symptoms of anxiety than the general population," said Support Act CEO Clive Miller.

"Now, in the wake of the devastating impact of COVID-19 on the industry, it’s more important than ever to have tangible tactics to address mental health and wellbeing issues and help build resilience."

The session will kick off from 3pm, head here for more info.

The Music recently spoke to Miller about how the organisation is supporting music workers through the COVID-19 pandemic, head it here
