Butcher is a renowned guitarist from the central desert, a leading figure in the Indigenous music community, an elder and one of the founders of the Warumpi Band.
In the past year, he has had four strokes, limiting his mobility and impacting his cognitive function.
He lives in a small remote community in the central desert, four hours away from the nearest hospital and cheap supplies and doesn't have access to a vehicle where he can be independent and access these necessities.
