The Newcastle electro/hip-hop event is addressing logistical issues with the shift
The organisers of Newcastle's impending Super Sundae Fundaze festival have announced that the event will move from its planned location of the Newcastle Foreshore to two alternative, smaller-scale venues to address logistical and other issues faced by the event.
In a statement released today, the organisers explained that the festival will now be held as two events at The Clarendon Hotel and The Cambridge Hotel. The Clarendon will pick up performances from line-up drawcards Carmada, Nina Las Vegas, Basenji, Elk Road, Paces, Porsches and Touch Sensitive, while The Cambridge will host Seth Sentry, Art Vs Science, Jayteehazard, Kilter, Relevent, Spit Syndicate and more.
According to the event staff, logistical issues were the driving reason behind the change, with other factors "severely compromis[ing] their plans to deliver a unique, high-quality boutique festival-style event at the foreshore, with public safety and patron satisfaction among their highest priorities".
All purchased tickets will be automatically refunded in the wake of the venue change.
