The triannual pop culture convention returns for its first iteration of 2016 at the Gold Coast and in Melbourne this April
The first leg of 2016's Supanova pop culture expo will hit the Gold Coast and Melbourne in a couple of months, and organisers have now unveiled another batch of Supastar guests to join the likes of Game Of Thrones star Jack Gleeson, Smallville's Allison Mack and Stargate SG-1's Christopher Judge at the convention this April.
It's a distinctly Whovian crew, stepping up to the plate, too, with recent Doctor Who villain — and Bad Education alum — Michelle Gomez lined up for the Qld and Victorian festivities along with several popular identities from its spin-off/sister show, Torchwood, including Gareth David-Lloyd (aka Ianto Jones), Eve Myles (Gwen) and Naoko Mori (Tosh).
The cabal of Brits will also be sharing billing space with giant-killers of the highest order in the form of renowned voice actors Bryce Papenbrook and Trina Nishimura (Eren and Mikasa in Attack On Titan), with additional drawcards running the gamut from Honduran-American actress Brina Palencia (One Piece, Dragon Ball Z), director Scott A. Brewer (Garrison 7: Universe) along with several of his creative team, and best-selling author Maria V. Snyder (the Study series) to local pop culture journalist Maria Lewis, Aurealis Award-winning author Mitchell Hogan (A Crucible Of Souls) and the Gold Coast's own Lynette Noni, author of The Medoran Chronicles series (the second instalment is due in March).
As always, the con's guests will be appearing on Q&A panels, photograph sessions, signing sessions and more.
