Originals Music Fest are using Harambe the gorilla as inspiration

Back for its third year, Originals Music Festival has announced the first acts of what is sure to be a killer 2016 line-up, headed up by rock'n'rollers The Living End and Brisbane sons Dune Rats.

Other acts you can catch this November include hip hop act Thundamentals, Remi, Tijuana Cartel, Young Franco, Odd Mob, Sahara Beck, The Belligerents, Pop Cult and Doolie, with more bands yet to be announced.

The Sunshine Coast extravaganza sold out in both 2014 and 2015 and have even opened up their Coolum Beach venue this year for camping for over-18s.

Originals will also have carnival rides on offer, entertainers and hula hoop classes, live art by Avante Garden and a food market, all adding to the festive atmosphere. The festival is also using Harambe, the 17-year-old gorilla that was killed in captivity earlier this year, as inspiration for the event, and will be raising awareness and support for other animals in captivity.
