After a sold-out edition of Sunny Side Up festival last year, the Sunshine Coast-based event returns this year with a stacked line-up to welcome you into spring.

The festival will be held again at Aussie World on Saturday, 5 September, featuring major electronic acts from 5 pm to 10 pm. Featuring three stages and bigger production than ever, the Aussie World precinct welcomes three beloved headliners: Pendulum (DJ Set), What So Not, and Hot Dub Time Machine.

They’ll be joined by fellow heavy hitters of dance music, Anna Lunoe, Habstrakt, Latifa Tee, Raw Ordio, Yussi, and more to be announced ahead of the September event.

Registration for pre-sale tickets is now open, providing punters the opportunity to get their hands on the cheapest tickets: $49 plus the booking fee. The pre-sale opens on Tuesday, 26 May, at 5 pm local time, followed by the general sale on Wednesday, 27 May, at 5 pm. You can find tickets here.

The announcement of this year’s festival builds upon Sunny Side Up’s mission to bring large-scale music events to the Sunshine Coast.

Organisers note that demand for electronic and festival acts is growing across Southeast Queensland, with Sunny Side Up recently hosting events in Airlie Beach, Rockhampton and the Gold Coast—all of which were met with a strong response from fans.

Sunny Side Up promoter Jordan Small explained, “We’re seeing massive interest across Southeast Queensland and regional Queensland for proper festival-style events. The response to our Sunshine Coast shows, and now to places like Airlie Beach, Rockhampton and the Gold Coast, has shown us people are ready for more.”

Adding that the Sunshine Coast remains the home for the festival, and commenting on returning to Aussie World, Small continued, “The last Sunny Side Up showed us there’s a real appetite for proper festival experiences on the Coast. We’re not trying to do a small party — we’re building a full-scale music festival with headline acts, big production and a setting that feels different to anywhere else.

“Aussie World is such a strong location for this. It’s not a standard nightclub or flat field. It gives the event character, space and a real destination feel. For September, we’re stepping things up again.”
