Sydney will celebrate the summer season with a 20 night series featuring live music from some of Australia's biggest acts, as well as open air cinema and even rooftop roller-skating.
Summer Nights will take place across venues throughout Parramatta from 7-26 January, with sets confirmed for names like Briggs, The Veronicas, Ruby Fields, Kingswood, The Chats and the Australian Rock Collective.
“After the challenges of 2020, we are looking forward to seeing our vibrant city come back to life with this unmissable Summer Nights program," City of Parramatta Lord Mayor Cr Bob Dwyer said.
"From live jazz and rock performances to movie nights and roller-skating, there’s something for everyone – whether you’re five or 95.
“As we weren’t able to do our usual New Year’s Eve event due to COVID-19 restrictions, we decided we would make up for it with a series of celebrations and entertainment instead.
“Through this exciting summer event, we look forward to welcoming people back into our City in a safe and managed way, while also helping support our many local businesses who have had a particularly difficult year.”
