Following a four-year hiatus, the beloved Subsonic Music Festival is finally returning to NSW’s Barrington Tops region from December 8th to 10th for a three-day celebration of music, art, glamping, dancing, and connection.

After Subsonic’s 2019 event was tragically cancelled due to bushfires — marking the first cancellation since its inception in 2009 — festival organisers are this year welcoming back their vibrant community of music lovers and talented artists to the idyllic natural surrounds of Riverwood Downs – a lush eco-resort on the banks of the Karuah River.

A truly electrifying line-up of over 50 international and Australian live acts and DJs has been announced for the festival’s 2023 edition, featuring some most exciting names in various genres including techno, house, reggae, acoustic, ambient, world, bass, trance, hip-hop, disco, and everything in between.

Headlining the incredible roster of artists set to soundtrack Subsonic Festival 2023 are Perth indie-dance trio Crooked Colours, Malyangapa/Barkindji rapper BARKAA, and British singer/songwriter Youngr. They are joined by the alternative dance-pop posse Haiku Hands and New Zealand rapper JessB.

Additionally, celebrated Aussie groups such as Tijuana Cartel, True Vibenation, Sub Tribe, and Tetrameth are just a handful of live acts revealed in the festival’s massive first-round announcement.

The lineup also features a selection of the finest international and local DJs, including Andy Garvey, Barney Kato, Dr Dubplate, DJ Scorpion, and Eric Cloutier, as well as Kate Miller, Litmus, Lunar Disco, Marlie, Robbie Lowe, and many more.
