Don’t we all dream of seeing our TV show ideas become a reality?

ABC iview and Screen Australia have started a competition called Long Story Short where Australian innovators can submit scripts with the end goal of having their own TV series, appealing to 18-35 year olds, funded and released on ABC iview.

ABC's Managing Director Mark Scott says, "Long Story Short is an exciting initiative which will see unique Australian content developed in partnership with Screen Australia, targeting younger, digital first audiences, and given a platform on Australia’s favourite video on demand service."

Your scripted projects can be across genres like contemporary drama, narrative comedy (Australian Broad City anyone?) or sci-fi. The series ideas will go in the running to win industry support as well as up to $30,000 funding for the $1.5 million initiative.
