New York hardcore punk pioneers Stray From The Path shocked fans when they announced they were breaking up after releasing their chaotic new album, Clockworked, in late May.
However sad the news is, Australian fans will get to farewell the group this August as Stray From The Path embark on their final Australian tour.
The run begins at The Tivoli, Brisbane, on Friday, 15 August, and continues at Sydney’s Manning Bar on Saturday, 16 August, Newcastle’s King St Bandroom on Sunday, 17 August, Melbourne’s 170 Russell on Wednesday, 20 August, Adelaide’s Lion Arts Factory on Thursday, 21 August, and concludes at Perth’s Magnet House on Friday, 22 August.
Joining the band on their final run across the country are fellow US metallers Orthodox and Australia’s own Diamond Construct. Pre-sale tickets will be available at 11 am AEST on Tuesday, 24 June – sign up here to register for access to those tickets – followed by the general sale on Wednesday, 25 June, at 11 am local time via the Destroy All Lines website.
Since forming in 2001, Stray From The Path released eleven albums and toured alongside Architects, The Ghost Inside, Every Time I Die, Comeback Kid, Australian metal bands In Hearts Wake and Northlane, and many others. They first visited Australia in 2013 and have visited consistently, last touring Down Under with In Hearts Wake in May 2023.
Upon announcing that Clockworked would be their final album on 30 May, Stray From The Path added that they’d disband after fulfilling their touring commitments, but highlighted that the decision was mutual.

The band said, “This is a mutual decision, there’s no bad blood, we love each other and we love you all. In the next couple weeks, we will be announcing our final tour dates, and after 2025 we will be putting the band to rest. Looking forward to celebrating the band one last time together for the rest of this year.”
