Because Strawberry Fields get that a festival can be exxy sometimes
Along with the reveal of their 2017 festival date this November, boutique electronic festival Strawberry Fields have announced a festival-first for Australia through its low income ticket program.
Taking a leaf out of Burning Man's book, the program will allocate up to 500 tickets at only $165+bf each, down from the usual $250-$350 per ticket, for punters who are on a low income or are a student.
It's a welcome nod towards those music-lovers who are struggling through uni while paying their rent, etc. and have to sacrifice their festival experiences, which can tally up quite quickly after costs associated with camping, food, petrol and the festival ticket itself.
Low income earners will have to establish their financial situations through an application process, with applications being taken from 1 March to 29 March.

Strawberry Fields, having brought out the likes of Leftfield, George Fitzgerald and Tensnake over the years, will be held from 16 to 19 November this year in Tocumwal, NSW.
