Stonnington Jazz Festival To Offer Free Workshops For Musicians

The 2016 Stonnington Jazz Festival is set to host a series of free workshops for budding jazz musicians. The events will take place 14 May, and will feature mentoring from Fem Belling, Andrew Murray and more.

The workshops will centre on jazz composition, arrangement, and performance, with participants encouraged to bring instruments and backing track for feedback from some of the industries best. The day-long run of classes will be hosted at Melbourne Polytechnic and the David Williamson Theatre. Booking for this event is essential, and the rest of the Stonnington Jazz Festival runs from 12 - 22 May.
