Reunited rockers Stone Temple Pilots have hinted at the sound of their forthcoming album by streaming an 18-second audio sample of their new single “Between the Lines” via their fan site.

The snippet of music comes off the band’s first release in nine years, which is set to be a self-titled album with the follow track listing:

Stone Temple Pilots have unveiled the album to select sources, one of which being The Pulse of Radio, whose reporter stated the album is “a natural, melodic progression for Stone Temple, with Beatles-esque harmonies, a lot of in-your-face, hard-rocking tracks, plenty of guitar solos and some astounding singing from Weiland”.
