Stone Temple Pilots, Smash Mouth Lead 2025 Edition Of Hello Sunshine Festival

Don’t underestimate the love for a family-friendly festival that hosts a diverse music line-up – Hello Sunshine is back.

Melbourne’s largest family-friendly music and food event, Hello Sunshine, is returning after two successful years that saw 10,000 punters soak up the sunshine and live music. In addition to returning to Victoria for a third year, Hello Sunshine will expand to the Gold Coast for the first time.

Hello Sunshine 2025 will take place at Melbourne’s Caribbean Gardens on Saturday, 1 March, and the Gold Coast’s Broadwater Parklands on Saturday, 8 March. As for the line-up? Next year’s event will feature performances from headliners Stone Temple Pilots, and favourites including Smash Mouth, Wolfmother, Kasey Chambers, Rogue Traders, and Drapht.

For the families, Hello Sunshine has also locked in a Bluey live show and meet-and-greet, Lenny Pearce and Whistle & Trick.

Tickets to next year’s event go on sale at 9 am AEST this Friday, 6 September, with a 24-hour pre-sale starting at 9 am this Thursday, 5 September. You can find more ticketing information—for the pre-sale and general sale—via the Hello Sunshine website.

The appearance of Smash Mouth, touring with singer Zach Goode (Ghoulspoon, Divided By Zero), who joined the band in March 2022 following the departure of founding singer Steve Harwell, is likely to be a bit bittersweet as Harwell passed away last September.

On their return to Australia, the band said, “Australia has got to be one of the coolest places to play. The people there know how to party! We are so excited to head back to Australia to perform at the Hello Sunshine Festival in March. It’s going to be amazing. Summertime! Outdoor Festival! Australia! Yes, please!”

Rogue Traders added, “The Hello Sunshine Festival this March is looking AMAZING - and we are so excited to have been asked to join the line-up! Can’t wait to see everyone down the front!”

And Drapht said, “I’m stoked to be on the Hello Sunshine line-up in March! It will be the first time doing all-ages shows in Melbourne and on The Goldy with my band, so we’re psyched to share the music with those who may not have heard the songs live yet! Can’t wait!”
