Sticky Fingers' Dylan Frost Pleads Not Guilty To Larceny

Sticky Fingers frontman Dylan Frost has pleaded not guilty to a single larceny charge, denying allegations that he stole a roast chicken and iced coffee from a Sydney Woolworths earlier this year.

Frost pleaded not guilty at the Downing Centre Local Court. The Daily Telegraph reports that police alleged that the singer stole a half-priced roast chicken (priced at $6.50) and a bottle of Ice Break Double Espresso ($2.65) from a Woolworths Metro located in Haymarket, Sydney, between 1 and 1:40 pm on Thursday, 27 June.

His partner, Elyssa Ford, was also charged with larceny. At the same time, she allegedly stole a packet of Life Savers Raspberry Stix. While the couple didn’t appear in court on Monday (12 August), Ford has yet to enter a plea, and Frost has pleaded not guilty.

As well as submitting a not-guilty plea, Frost is reportedly currently undertaking the process of admitting himself to a drug and alcohol rehabilitation program. Ford is reportedly pregnant and dealing with medical issues.

The Daily Telegraph notes that the registrar at the Downing Centre Local Court accepted Frost’s plea and adjourned the case. It is set to return to court on Monday, 30 September. Ford’s matter will be back in court in two weeks.

Last August, Sticky Fingers abruptly cancelled a show at Brisbane’s Riverstage after Frost was unexpectedly taken ill and rushed to hospital. Band members Freddy Crabs and Paddy Cornwall shared the bad news with fans.

“This is one of the best venues in Australia; we love coming here,” Crabs said. “We love you all. It’s killing me right now. We know when you go home tonight, please; I know this is a frustrating moment for all of you. Please, just be respectful. We are so sorry, and we’ll keep you updated. It’s going to be alright. We’re sorry. We’re really, really sorry.”

Cornwall added, “We’re going to reschedule the show. The good news is we’re going to do it all again. If you can look after each other on the way out. We’re f*cking devastated.”

The band made good on their word, returning to the Riverstage in late October.
