An impressive lot of additions to the Aussie label
Australian indie rock label Golden Robot Records has signed four iconic rock acts in their latest endeavour, securing deals with Rose Tattoo, Steve Kilbey, The Superjesus and Sarah McLeod.
The “fiercely independent old school” Sydney-based record label is well and truly on track to reach its ultimate goal as the new home for Australian rock, with 15 releases - both nationally and internationally - slated for release over the next 12 months.
Joining an impressive rosters that already features the likes of Mi-Sex Moon, The Lockhearts, Toe To Toe and more, the highly-anticipated new EP from reformed rockers The Superjesus, Love And Violence, will drop next month as they set their sights on a 2017 LP and band leader Sarah McLeod plans a solo record for next year.
“In a time when Aussie rock'n'roll has been pushed up the back behind the discount Coco Pops, GRR is actually taking a chance on new acts and resuscitating established acts that have been lost in the technology movement,” McLeod said.

“I haven't seen passion like this since the ‘90s.”
Aussie icons Rose Tattoo will see a live album from 1983 released as well as new material in 2017, while The Church’s Kilbey works on a new record.
“Golden Robot is very excited to be working with some of the top echelon of Australian bands and bringing Aussie rock back to the world,” GRR president/founder Mark Alexander-Erber said of the partnerships.
