And he's getting a LOT of support.
VJ Jim Medcraft, who has done visual work for events such as Stereosonic and Future Music Festival, has received overwhelming support after launching a GoFundMe campaign last week, aiming to raise money to help him get back to work after being the victim of a hit & run incident earlier this year.
While on tour in Texas, Medcraft was hit by a car that fled the scene, leaving him with serious injuries and being forced to cover the cost of multiple surgeries.
He has not worked since February.
If that wasn't enough, while undergoing operations, Medcraft's laptop and equipment were also stolen.

"Having not worked since February I don't really have the resources to replace the laptop," Medcraft said in a statement posted on the campaign page.
"I have being using an older Macbook pro with a broken screen, that I had technically written off. That machine will no longer boot.
"People have being suggesting for months that I start a GoFundMe campaign for an electric wheelchair and now working laptop. I decided it was time to swallow my pride.
"Having stood on my feet for first time since February yesterday, the prospect of being able to get back to work again is finally feeling quite real... but not having the tools is going to be a real hurdle."
Since launching the campaign on Friday, an astounding figure of over $13,000 has already been raised for Medcraft, with $10,000 of that number donated just hours after it went live.
