Legendary author/screenwriter/actor/TV personality/everything in between Stephen Fry has announced he'll be bringing his Telling Tales stage show to Aussie theatres this November.

The English icon will be armed with an array of stories from his varied life and myriad of careers, for "an evening of fun, frolic and uniquely Fryish delight".

He'll be heading to Melbourne's Hamer Hall first on Monday, 8 November, before Canberra's Royal Theatre on Saturday, 14 November, Perth's Riverside Theatre on Tuesday, 17 November and finally Sydney's State Theatre on Saturday, 21 November.

Tickets go on sale Tuesday, 1 September.
