In December of 2008 Stand Defiant and Mindset took their 9 man, double-time, sing along inducing circus into the depths of the Van Diemen’s land wilderness. This July, fresh from the release of their Debut EP on Betrayed Records, Reset Revive Mindset, under the watchful tutelage of touring veterans Stand Defiant take to the roads of the Big Island once more in a 10 date blitz of shows bringing fast, no bullshit punk and hardcore to audiences all along the east and south coast of Australia.

Although both bands are Tasmanian natives by birth, Mindset who recently made the jump over the ditch into the territory of Carl Williams, are making a name for themselves in the highly competitive jungle of the Melbourne punk/hardcore scene, thanks to their innovative blend of pop punk, sweeps(!) and modern hardcore.

Stand Defiants sterling record for solid and heartfelt live shows in support of their two releases to date; 2004s Split with The Scandal and 2006s Our Own Destruction, has seen the band tour relentlessly and only recently take some time out to demo what will become the core of their upcoming debut full length with good friend and label mate Nic White (The Scandal, Ballpoint, Ride The Tiger, Your Demise) .

Bringing together the bands desire for ripping solos and soaring harmonies Stand Defiant will be showcasing material from the new record as well as making the demo available at shows, saying “It’s been a fucking long time, we just wanted to get something out as soon as we could so people can hear what we’re doing and hopefully get psyched for the Album”.
