Splendour In The GrassSplendour In The Grass have today confirmed the dates for this year's event, which will take place at the North Byron Parklands venue.
The festival's organisers have been striving to move the festival to the venue and after seven years of lobbying – and two years in Woodford – the venue was approved April last year.
The festival will take place Friday 26, Saturday 27 and Sunday 28 July this year.
Today the festival co-producers Jessica Ducrou and Paul Piticco said, “It has been a long journey to get to this point. Seven years after we first found this idyllic piece of land, we're so excited to finally move Splendour to its permanent home at North Byron Parklands.
Work has already commenced on the site to develop the large areas of camping ground they will need for the event.
Splendour In The Grass is often considered Australia's answer to Glastonbury and last year Piticco and Ducrou were recognised for their efforts when they were named the second most powerful duo in the Australian music industry by the inaugural AMID Power 50.
