Splendour In The Grass ProfileThe Splendour In The Grass comedown is a real thing, but it appears not everyone is over this year's ridiculously-amazing festival just yet, as a few of the 2016 acts have surged back on the ARIA charts.
Leading the way is Splendour's Sunday headliner Flume, whose latest album Skin is set to blast back into the top three of the ARIA Albums Chart after it debuted at #1 back in May.
The chart spiking is huge, given that last week it placed at #15 and is now a serious threat for top spot against veteran Aussie pop group Human Nature's thirteenth studio album, Gimme Some Lovin': Jukebox Vol II.
Flume will most likely have to battle it out for #1 against fellow Splendour headliner The Avalanches, who came in at #2 last week with their second LP, Wildflower.
British artist Jack Garratt clearly impressed the thousands at North Byron Parklands last weekend as well, because his debut album Phase is set to climb its way back into the top 30, having not placed on the chart at all in recent weeks.
The album peaked on the chart at #9 back in February.
Other album debuts this week include US prog-metal band Periphery's Periphery III: Select Difficulty and post-hardcore outfit Crown The Empire's Retrogade.
Aussie hip hop artist Illy's Papercuts, featuring Vera Blue, must have also been a crowd favourite at Splendour because it is now a contender to dethrone US pop star Katy Perry's Rise.
Though it debuted at #8 last week, the song is set to crack the top three and is a chance to spoil the party.
Also expect to hear new music this week from Major Lazer with Cold Water, featuring Justin Bieber and MØ, Mike Perry's The Ocean and Jonas Blue's Perfect Strangers.
