Speedball Expand National Tour With Additional Shows

6 October 2015 | 4:37 pm | Staff Writer

Two more chances to see the Sydney punks in action this month

Stalwart Sydney punk outfit Speedball are entering the final few shows of their Back From The Dead national sojourn, but they're clearly not quite ready to stop the party yet, outlining two new additions to the schedule this month before they call it a tour.

First up, they're slotting in a new show in Canberra, at The Basement, this Friday 9 October, with the second additional performance coming on Sunday 25 October at The Record Crate, in Glebe.

That's in addition to their remaining scheduled dates in Sydney (Punk-a-holics Anonymous @ The Standard Bowl, 15 October; Zombie Ball @ The Valve Bar, 30 October) and Caringbah (Punk To The Future @ Studio Six, 17 October), putting a fittingly rambunctious exclamation point on what will have been close to two solid months of touring for the veteran act in support of newest EP Back From The Dead.

Speedball will be handing out free (on selected door-charge entry only) copies of limited-edition live EP Smashes at the shows, where they'll crank out fresh goods from the new release alongside classic cuts from breakthrough EP On High Rotation, as well as some extras if you're super-lucky.
