In the latest sequence of events, which underpin current doubts regarding Soundwave 2016, promoter AJ Maddah has updated his (always active) Twitter account with "facts" regarding this January's event.
In overnight posts, Maddah alleges ticketing outlet Eventopia "changed [their] mind" regarding paying an advanced deposit. However, Eventopia, offering their reply, deny the statements, asserting they don't have any say on whether the festival commences.
It marks another eventful week for the fledgling festival after the Soundwave founder confirmed the 2016 would be the last. Moreover, NoFX have since reportedly pulled out, Bring Me The Horizon have discussed their respective concerns, and Maddah equally confirmed Soundwave Touring will cease.

There have been discussions today. I"m waiting on Eventopia/Ticketek to make their decision. We cannot hold festival without their support.

As soon as I hear from them, I will let you know.

Eventopia, also writing via Twitter, strongly refutes the claims, writing:
@belsy12 Currently there isn't anything to be said - tickets remain on-sale and the festival is going ahead.

Additionally, Maddah went onto offer the following:
@Roger88342975 I've been threatened by their lawyer not to discuss this. But I guess you guys can.
