"The Bond has been forfeited by the promoter due to breaching noise limits."
Despite the festival only reporting two noise complaints, Soundwave voided their bond in Adelaide after “breaching noise limits”, according to the Adelaide City Council.
Promoter AJ Maddah went to Twitter to express his disappointment in the Adelaide City Council over the decision.
“True to form, Adelaide City Council are keeping SW deposit after only 2 (YES, TWO) noise complaints across the weekend. Bravo ACC. Bravo,” Maddah said.
The City Of Adelaide reacted to the tweet by explaining it wasn’t the noise complaints that voided the bond.

The festival forfeiting its $10,000 deposit follows a lengthy battle that saw the same thing unfold in 2014.
Poor attendance numbers in recent years also led to this year’s Adelaide event being the last in the state.
The line-up for 2016 has already begun to take shape, with Violent Soho last week accepting a Twitter invitation from Maddah to play the festival. Stay tuned to our dedicated Soundwave festival page for updates.
