Due to ticket sales being less successful then originally hoped for and sponsorship falling through merely months (in some cases weeks) before the festival we regret to publicly announce the ‘Sounds Of A Silhouette’ festival originally planned for July 30 is having to be postponed to the early months of 2012. We understand this is not only an inconvenience to you, the punter… but promoters around the country and the bands whom originally agreed to come to regional WA. THIS FESTIVAL IS NOT BEING CANCELLED.
Being an independent company we had tried to keep this dream alive by investing every last cent we had but regardless of our efforts we haven’t been able to meet some of the demands necessary to meet the deadlines in place. For those who have already purchased tickets, refunds will be available from mid week. We will post a direct link and phone numbers as soon as this is cleared up tomorrow to aid you in your return of moneys (Monday, July 18.) Obviously the bands originally planned to play the festival are having to be notified one at a time and we hope that they will be in understanding with our new terms and conditions however it is very possible that the line up is going to undertake some serious changes.
With this said, several acts who are set to fly in around the date of the festival are still flying over and will be performing around both the metro and country region.
