Sounds Australia’s annual Aussie BBQ at SXSW in Austin, Texas is always a buzzing event and now, as part of the conference’s inaugural online run, fans across the globe will be able to get a taste of the action later this month.
The team at Sounds Australia have enlisted some of the county’s best acts for Close Up, three one-hour showcases that will feature 18 local acts performing two live songs recorded in their own ‘backyard’, or “however they chose to interpret that theme”.
Here’s who will feature at Close Up 2021:
Alexander Biggs, Alice Skye, Baker Boy, Beans, Death By Denim, Didirri, Hachiku, Hauskey, Indigo Sparke, Jaguar Jonze, Kee’ahn, Ninajirachi & Kota Banks, No Money Enterprise, Shannen James, Sycco, The Chats, The Lazy Eyes, The Merindas
Hosted by Sounds Australia's Glenny G, Millie Millgate and Dom Alessio (“right from Glenny's own backyard”), each showcase will stream from 1:00pm AEDT on March 18, 19 and 20.
