Former and current employers have been speaking out.
Sony Music's US head office is reportedly "investigating claims of discrimination, bullying and harassment" within the Australian arm of the business.
As reported by Sydney Morning Herald's Nathaniel Cooper, it has been revealed today that the company's global head of human resources has contacted past and present employees following complaints from a staff member at the label's Sydney office.
A source has told the publication that the company has "has held confidential discussions with at least four former and current staff members", with others contacting the HR executive directly.
The report comes just months after Sony Music Australia senior executive Tony Glover was dismissed from the company following inappropriate behaviour allegations. The long-running staffer was fired from his position as vice president of commercial music in April following an investigation that took place over numerous weeks.
The investigation alleged that Glover, who was at Sony for three decades, had bullied and harassed multiple staff members.
Sydney Morning Herald reports that in the time since Glover's dismissal, they have been contacted by numerous Sony Music Australia employees with allegations of allegations of sexual harassment and assault, as well reports of making pregnant women and new mothers redundant.
