"You will be on the stage and in our hearts always."
Beloved Australian musician JP Hedigan, who collaborated with the likes of Clare Bowditch and toured with Something For Kate and more, has passed away following a lengthy battle with brain cancer.
The Melbourne artist passed away earlier this week surrounded by loved ones, after being diagnosed with inoperable stage IV brain cancer in 2015.
Following his diagnosis and subsequent treatment, Hedigan recorded his debut solo album, Doc Holidays Café, which was released in 2017 and featured Paul Dempsey, Bowditch and more.
Prior to that, he was a touring musician for Something For Kate, Dempsey and Brolga Boys and played in Red Raku alongside Bowditch prior to their split.
