“You bring the fire I’ll bring the smoke!!”

More Snoop Dogg More Snoop Dogg

Many high profile individuals have had their input over entrepreneur Elon Musk acquiring social media giant Twitter.

None have gained more attention though than Snoop Dogg's most recent back and forth with Musk, which has caused equal parts hype and cringe on the platform.

On the 13th of May, Snoop tweeted that he might have to buy Twitter now, with a series of changes he'd make. Comical ones for that matter. He said, "Gonna replace the board of directors with Jimmy from my corner Fish Fry, Tommy Chung and tha guy with the ponytail on CNBC."

"First line of business. Free internet on airplanes!!! 29 dollars for 1 hour is bullshit.

"Everyone gets a blue checkmark. Even tha bots with 10 letters in their name that hit you in DMs n just say 'Hello'. Nah fuck those bots."

While it might present as obvious that Snoop was joking, it's hard to tell with the detailed plans that he set out following the original tweet, even starting the hashtag #WhenSnoopBuysTwitter.

As it began to gather social media attention, Elon Musk caught wind of the tweets, replying with two fire emojis. Snoop replied to him with: “You bring the fire I’ll bring the smoke!!”. Genius.

Snoop Dogg recently acquired Death Row Records and announced that he plans to turn the legacy record label into an NFT label.

“Death Row will be an NFT label, We will be putting out artists through the metaverse. Just like we broke the industry when we was the first independent [label] to be major, I want to be the first major [label] in the metaverse," Snoop said.

Snoop Dogg will return to Australia later this year, performing at RAC Arena, WA on October 26 before heading to Qudos Bank Arena, NSW on October 28, Rod Laver Arena, Vic on October 29 and Brisbane Entertainment Centre on November 1. For more details, click here.
