The Norwegian four-piece will make their maiden outings this September
In-demand Norwegian four-piece Sløtface have announced their first-ever Australian headline shows, hitting stages Down Under this September.
The tour will be a limited one, with the band only having lined up outings in Sydney, at the Oxford Art Factory, and Melbourne, at Howler — and, as the news comes in the wake of their freshly announced debut album, Try Not To Freak Out, you can expect that the brief run will be an exceptionally well-attended one.
Sløtface have made a name (well, two) for themselves over the past five-or-so years, even navigating a name change (they were originally called Slutface) in 2016 in an effort to combat social media censorship.
It proved to be a wise move, as they started attracting broader attention with their single Sponge State, the title track of their third EP. Fourth EP Empire Records followed in November last year, and compounded the growing international renown the band has enjoyed recently, steering them to multimillion streams on Spotify and continued airplay from BBC radio to triple j.
