Slayer were forced to drop their appearance at the Sydney edition of Soundwave Festival today as the band's vocalist/bassist Tom Araya was hospitalised with a severe ear infection.
It has been confirmed that Slayer will still be appearing at each of the upcoming Soundwave dates, starting with Melbourne on Friday 4th March. It was recently anounced that Exodus guitarist Gary Holt would be filling in for the ill Jeff Hanneman for Slayer's Soundwave dates.
