Thrash metal legends Slayer will play a single headline show in Sydney when they’re in the country next year for Soundwave.

Arguably one of the most influential and controversial metal bands of all time, Slayer will tear Sydney’s Big Top Luna Park a new one with thrash anthems from 1986’s Reign In Blood and their extensive back catalogue. Fans might even get to hear some new stuff with guitarist Kerry King recently telling ARTISTdirect.com they’re working on two new songs – ‘Chasing Death’ and ‘Implode’ – and have a new album planned for next year.

Slayer will also appear at all Soundwave festivals, alongside the likes of Metallica, Blink 182, A Perfect Circle and Paramore among others.
