Welsh heavy metal meets reggae band Skindred are returning to Australia in September, today announcing their biggest-ever tour Down Under.

Beginning the run at Perth’s Magnet House on Tuesday, 1 September, the tour continues at Adelaide’s The Gov on Thursday, 3 September, Melbourne’s Northcote Theatre on Friday, 4 September, Sydney’s Metro Theatre on Saturday, 5 September, and concludes at Brisbane’s The Triffid on Sunday, 6 September.

Early Bird pre-sale tickets will be available on Wednesday, 18 February, at 9 am local time – register here for access – ahead of the general sale on Friday, 20 February, at 9 am local time. You can find more ticketing information on the Destroy All Lines website.

Skindred last performed in Australia in March 2024, appearing on the Knotfest Australia bill alongside Pantera, Disturbed, Lamb of God, Halestorm, SPEED, and many others. They also played a handful of sideshows. The band’s most recent tour of Australia took place in September 2017, when they shared stages with Max and Iggor Cavalera.

The Welsh rockers are touring in support of their forthcoming album, You Got This, which lands on Friday, 17 April, via Earache Records. The new album stars frontman Benji Webbe, guitarist and backing vocalist Mikey Demus, and drummer Arya Goggin.

Teaming up with Grammy-winning producer Jay Ruston (Diana Ross, Meat Loaf, Mr Bungle), You Got This picks up where Skindred’s acclaimed 2023 album, Smile, left off—unveiling dancehall-inspired tracks packed with hooks. You can pre-order/pre-save the album here.

Commenting on the band’s success and their looking to the future, Demus said, “When you start a band, you don’t think for a second that you’re going to headline Wembley. I don’t feel like we made it happen; the audience made it happen by committing to be there and travelling so far to come.

“When you’re in a band, you’re always looking at the next thing, and it can be hard to be like, wow, what’s happening right now is amazing. There are still so many people out there who should know us but have never heard of us. So, we’ve got this whole fight ahead of us still.”
