Six Dance Lessons In Six Weeks Returns

20 January 2016 | 4:16 pm | Staff Writer

The best-selling show returns to Illawarra Performing Arts Centre.

The poignant comedy Six Dance Lessons In Six Weeks has enjoyed international success, all beginning at the Sydney Opera House in the original production by Ensemble Theatre in 2006. Now it's returning to Illawarra Performing Arts Centre from 17 - 20 February, as part of the Merrigong Season 2016.

The award winning play features choreography by Thirroul resident John O'Connell, who is known for his work on Australian films such as Moulin Rouge!, Strictly Ballroom and the Hollywood dance films Shall We Dance and Enchanted, which then led to him choreographing the Oscars. It is also Ensemble Theatre's most popular and successful play, selling more tickets than any other production in the theatre's 58-year history.
