Winifred shares her brand new single today, premiering exclusively with The Music.
Dubbed Into The Night, the track is the latest from the now Melbourne-based pop artist who was also the co-writer for Alice Ivy's huge In My Mind single.
"Into The Night is about the nuance of power struggle, establishing yourself and retaining your integrity,” said Winifred of the track.
"It's about finding the balance of remaining open minded in seeking common ground but knowing where to draw the line, not allowing yourself to become intimidated as you navigate your way. The introspective struggle unfolds throughout the verses, confidence begins to stir in the pre chorus and then bursts into a newfound freedom when the chorus hits."
"I co-wrote this song with Chris Chidiac (Chí) in Sydney," she told The Music. I knew the minute we connected that something special would come of this collaboration.
"Some songs write themselves but we really had to wrestle with Into The Night to make all the puzzle pieces click into place. It has a complex pop structure so it was an exciting challenge for both of us."
