They'll arrive armed with new music, alongside material from their acclaimed 25-year old discography.

Sigur Rós will be extending their 2022 world tour to Australia, gracing our shores for the first time after five long years.

The Icelandic band will play shows at The Fortitude Music Hall in Brisbane on the 9th of August, Aware Super Theatre in Sydney on the 12th of August and Margaret Court Arena in Melbourne on the 13th of August.

They'll arrive armed with new music, alongside material from their acclaimed 25-year old discography.

The band sent fans into a frenzy earlier this year, sharing news the group is coming out of hibernation and are in the process of writing their first album since their 2013 released Kveikur.

Since breaking internationally in 1999 with their record Ágætis Byrjun, Sigur Rós have become one of the most successful bands of recent times. They've achieved six number one albums in Iceland, had platinum-selling records and sold out-tours in all directions.

Pre-sale tickets are available from 9am on Friday the 1st of April, with tickets on sale to the general public from 1pm local time on Monday the 4th of April.
