Aussie pop-punk stars Short Stack will tour in June 2025 to celebrate the 15th anniversary of their 2009 debut album, Stack Is The New Black.

The album, which went viral at the time of its release, features the singles Sway Sway Baby!, Shimmy A Go Go, and Princess. The record went on to be certified Gold. Last year, Stack Is The New Black was pressed to vinyl for the first time.

In 2025, the band will prove to their fans and detractors that pop-punk and emo was never a phase. The Stack Is The New Black 15th anniversary national tour begins at The Tivoli in Brisbane on Friday, 6 June, before the band heads to Sydney’s Liberty Hall (Saturday, 7 June), Adelaide’s The Gov (Friday, 13 June), Melbourne’s Forum (Saturday, 14 June), and wraps up at Perth’s Astor Theatre on Friday, 20 June.

A Spotify pre-sale begins on Tuesday, 12 November, at 10 am local time, followed by Early Bird pre-sale tickets on Wednesday, 13 November, at 10 am local time – register here for access to those tickets – and the general sale begins on Friday, 15 November, at 10 am local time. You can purchase tickets via the Destroy All Lines website.

In a recent interview with The Music, Short Stack’s Shaun Diviney revealed that the decision to press Stack Is The New Black and 2010’s This Is Bat Country to vinyl happened after the band bought back the rights to those albums. While he couldn’t share too much about the process, he did describe it as a “fucking nightmare.”

“We didn't know how many people like vinyl,” he said after the albums’ vinyl release. “It turns out a lot of people buy vinyl [laughs]. Seeing that people are still into our music was very humbling.”
