Band's debut due September/October
Spunk Records have signed New South Wales avant-pop outfit Shining Bird, with the official announcement due later today.
Hailing from the south coast town of Austinmer, the label are aiming to release the band's debut album in September/October this year. Spunk have a deal in place with Universal's Caroline label services division.
The band said the members got together “over their love of the sea, Paul Thomas Anderson, Dennis Wilson's Pacific Ocean Blue LP and the great Australian poet Henry Lawson.”
Today the band dropped their video for Distant Dreaming, which will feature on the record.
