There's now a brand new way to see your favourite artists with the introduction of Serenade.
The platform is the work of Sydney's Max Shand and lets punters 'Book A Serenade' from the artists on board. All the performances are special, one-off sessions with the booker then sent the dedicated video recording.
Artists already confirmed include Steve Kilbey, Didirri, Kim Churchill, WAAX, Slowly Slowly, Ash Grunwald, Ella Hooper, imbi the girl, Teen Jesus and the Jean Teasers, Death by Denim and stacks more, with artists to earn revenue directly from bookings.
“I wanted to create a platform that ensured, irrespective of where fans or artists are based, they can still form that connection, and artists can earn an alternate stream of revenue," said Shand, who was a founding employee with Afterpay.
"I wanted to create a platform that allows artists to make money at a time where most of the platforms available to them devalue their art. My goal is to say to artists, what you have is something brilliant, you just need to wrap it up in a new experience that makes a fan eager to spend real money on it."
